An exhibition of new work in acrylics by John Dobson.
Artist Statement
“I started with graffiti Art in my teens, and after passing A-level art, attended Middlesex university and completed an Art foundation course. I very much like doing art, and the term for it these days is an art practice. This exhibition shows my ongoing project of paintings of suburban locations and some landscapes.
My inspiration comes from artists I like, spay can art, and my mother Sally Dobson, who is herself an artist, and has supported many other artists over the years at her gallery and artists’ studios at Parndon Mill in Harlow.
I hope you enjoy looking at my art, and realise that these types of art practice sometimes take lots of effort and can be very difficult.” - John Dobson 2024
