M-ask | Wellbeing Drama Programme

Aged 18+?
This FUN and FREE programme using theatre techniques is for those suffering from stress, anxiety, depression and other conditions affecting mental wellbeing. You don’t need any experience to take part, everyone is welcome from absolute beginners to the more experienced.
8 week Programme runs:
• January 26th, February 2nd, 9th, (No session Feb 16th for half term), 23rd and March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
• Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
• Location: St Albans Mind 11 Hatfield Rd, St Albans AL1 3RR
Why Should I Do It?
Studies have shown that taking part in an arts activity has a positive influence on mental health and general wellbeing. It can increase self-esteem and confidence, reduce feelings of isolation and give those involved a sense of personal achievement.
Mind in Mid Herts is a mental health charity affiliated with National Mind. Their Mission is to provide prevention, recovery, and support services in Hertfordshire to empower people to take control of their mental health.
Trestle Theatre Company is a mask and physical theatre company which engages people in creative activity.
The programme will include a weekly Thursday session led by a professional Trestle artist and there will be a mental health support worker on hand from Mind in Mid Herts. Each session will explore a combination of theatre and mask techniques.
